Welcome to Chosen Harbor Consulting, a venture born out of a personal journey filled with both triumphs and setbacks. My name is Christina Mosser, the founder of this transformative space for women entrepreneurs, and I am excited to share the background and inspiration behind this endeavor.
My entrepreneurial journey started when I was 9 years old and would clean the snow off our neighbors’ cars and walkways in our neighborhood, and one day an older lady popped her head out of her front door and handed me $20 bucks! Serving my community has always been rewarding for me, it’s just a bonus that I get to make my living this way because it truly doesn’t feel like work. In my adult life, I have had a tapestry of experiences over the last 16+ years, marked not only by successes but also by the valuable lessons learned through failures. In more recent years, I have ventured into multiple businesses selling jewelry, wellness products, nail art, clothing and even vacuums! Each time with the hope of turning my passions into a thriving venture, yet it wasn't always a smooth ride. I have faced business structure challenges, financial struggles, team dynamics, poor compensation structures, encountered pitfalls, and navigated through the complexities of entrepreneurship over my lifetime!
My corporate experience has also been a rewarding journey. I have been in a training or leadership role at various W2 jobs for 25 years. I first became a manager 20 years ago and I have been doing some form of business or management consulting (including many years of project management) for the last six years. I am Lean Certified, have a passion for developing people and connecting them to resources to help them achieve more success over their lifetime than they would have alone. I have won awards for creating efficiencies, cutting down the end-to-end cycle time of many processes, developing technology tools to replace paper-based processes and have written many procedures, job aids and desktop reference guides. My attention to detail and grit are what has carried me through some difficult times where I was told I wouldn't success and was able to get the job done even though I may not have been qualified through traditional educational avenues. I am a quick study, have a steel trap of a memory and I’m ready to put my talents to work for you! I don’t stop until the job is done and nothing is a failure, either we saw expected (or unexpected) success or learned valuable lessons for our next approach. Our Name and Our Inspiration
The inspiration behind Chosen Harbor Consulting is deeply rooted in my personal experiences. I have experienced the sting of failure, tasted the sweetness of success, and, most importantly, learned invaluable lessons along the way. Through these ups and downs, I have come to understand the transformative power of aligning business endeavors with a Christian mindset.
The name Chosen Harbor comes from feeling like God has chosen me to connect people to resources and providing that safe harbor for people who feel lost or scared about starting a new business. Imposter Syndrome is real, especially in women who haven’t been told their whole lives that they can achieve the impossible. I’ve been there, and I want to assure you that with the right knowledge, guidance, resources, and network anything is possible my friend! We aren’t meant to do this life alone, so don’t suffer in secret silence. Let’s live in community and help each other learn, grow and be the most successful versions of ourselves as humanly possible!
